I thought this would turn out a lot better. I was hoping for an abstract, high impact vision. Not so sure now.

I did of course use a reference photo and where better than DA.
I used kirstie1974's beautiful shot of this little girl featured here.

The shading round the eyes and nose was a result of a number of layers of pencil followed by blending with a tissue. I got the nose wrong about 4 times, very frustrating. The irises were a case of very close and gentle layers followed by blending. I finished off with a very fine eraser to get the highlights in.
